Hello, I am trying to run Linux Mint 22 on my MacBook Pro 13" M2 through Parallels Desktop. When I choose the .iso file for the OS I get the following message: "The specified image cannot be used because your Mac is equipped with the Apple M series chip that doesn't support Intel-based operating systems." I saw that other people have this problem too and they tried to start a blank VM and then install the .iso file from the CD/DVD section. That doesn't do the job for me as well. It says that there is not an OS installed. Any help would be much appreciated!

Parallels Desktop only officially supports Linux Mint on Intel Macs. Linux Mint does not have an ARM version.

And NOT a single Parallels support reply? Come on.
It has been a HALF YEAR for anvexs' request.
We shouldn't need to play the guessing game of when you are going to fix this! My Parallels: V19.4.2. put in an over-ride button....
