Login help for an XP newbie

I've been using Parallels 3 with Windows XP with no problems for a long time. All of a sudden, when I start up XP, instead of just logging me in it now shows the startup login screen. When I attempt to login, I get an error: "The system cannot log you on now because the domain GRAYWINDOWS is not available."

If I recall correctly, this is the (local) domain I told XP to use for its own records. It's never been attached to a remote server. Why, with no change that I can think of, would XP suddenly be asking me this? And, more to the point, how can I get access to my system and make it stop?
 
Thanks for the pointer, but unfortunately that didn't seem to do the trick. I switched back and forth three times, as well as trying to disconnect and then reconnect, and also rebooted XP. Still the same error message. Given that the error differs from the article, I'm not sure where to go from here. I have sent in a support request, with no reply so far -- presumably because of the holiday weekend.

That looks like it's exactly right -- thanks! I ended up not being able to follow those instructions (it was just one of those days where everything went wrong), but fortunately I found an earlier backup of the entire Parallels configuration and XP installation, and when I restored to that everything was working again. Thanks again for the help!
