Logitech USB headset

Tried it in XP Pro VM and got a alert that said "USB device you are trying to connect to the virtual machine is being used by another process. Wait 5-10 seconds..."

Tried unplugging, plugging, restarting VM, selecting device in Mac prefs, unselecting it in Mac prefs.... No luck.

Anyone have it working? If it doesn't work I don't want to spend time trying. I spent enough time with Audio CD testing until I found out it wasn't supported. :-(
 
Same Error.

I get the same error with both a Logitech USB Headset and a Concept 2 Rowing Machine (PM3). No idea why. I'm not running any other apps that use either of these devices. But I haven't chased it a lot yet, so I don't know if it's impossible, or just tricky.
 
You can actually use this (and any other headset) by selecting the headset as input/output in the sound prefrences pane on the mac side before starting your VM.

The sound card in your guest OS will now be connected to the headset.

This does not help you if you need multiple input/output sources to diffrent OSs at the same time.

I use a Logitech USB head set all the time with Parallels running XP Pro.

Do not try to enable it as a USB device for XP Pro.

1) Make sure Parallels is not running.
2) Plug in USB headset
3) Go into the Mac OS X System Preferences and select the USB Headset for the Input device and Output device. This will make Mac OS X applications use the USB Headset instead of the built-in audio/mic.
4) Launch Parallels
5) In the configuration editor, verify the "Sound" is set for "Default Audio"
6) Launch Windows
7) That’s it. The USB Headset should just work. Your USB Headset will appear to Windows as if it is plugged into an Intel built-in Speaker and Microphone jack. Mac OS X and Parallels turns the USB device into a simple Speaker and Microphone connection for Windows.
