Loss of cd/DVD drive on Mac side

    I am using Parallels 12, Win10. MacOS 10.12.6.

    I have Roxio Creator NXT4 and whoever I insert a CD/DVD, Roxio Burn detects it and makes the drive invisible to my mac unless I restart windows.

    Is there a way to prevent my Mac from "losing" the cd/dvd drive?
