Lost my Windows 10 partition

Today when I tried to use Parallels for macOSX the 'starting Windows 10' message came up, but then only a gray screen. Windows 10 did not load. This may have been induced by update of Parallels for macOSX just a couple of days ago, or even a Windows 10 update over the weekend. I don't even know where to start. Is this a common occurrence with Windows 10 running in a VM in macOSX 10.15.4? And what to do to begin recovery?

2013 Mac Pro with 64 GB ram, 1 GB SSD, single Xenon processor, and 4 GB external HDD, using latest update of macOSX Catalina. Parallels for MAC 10.15.4, Windows 10 x64 latest update.

Hello, did you try these steps?

Well, I had already determined that my partitions on my SSD were intact. The hint about gave me the tools to reset Windows 10 (something that I did not even know about Windows 10). Everything is restored, and I hope I have disabled Fast Startup. Marie, thanks ever so much for your kind assistance!
