Mac with 1GB ... Is it enough to run Windows xp without any problems

I ordered my imac a few days ago and I bought 1gb ram for it... I will get a 2gb upgrade in the future but for now I have 1gb... is this enough to run parallels... I will be running office 2003 in parallels and some other stuff... none are very intensive programs... if I allocate lets say 512 to xp and 512 to os x is this enough?
 
Seems to be enough for me. Though, it definitely slows OS X down. I'm just allocating 256 or 384 megs to XP depending on what I'm doing. But, if you're willing to close some of your OS X apps to make room for XP, then that should be just fine. But I would try to keep your work in one OS at a time. So, if you're working in office, don't expect to be able to run 10 programs in OS X at the same time.

But yeah, you should be fine.
 
I agree. If you want to run multiple applications on OSX while Parallels is running, go ahead and get at least 2GB. Otherwise you will be watching the beachball a lot as OSX swaps.
