macbook pipe key

hello.

I`ve installed gentoo in a virtual machine. Everything works fine but i can't find the pipe key. I don't use X just plain console. I can use { (ö) and [ (shift + ö) but i can't find pipe. Any hints appreciated.

What keyboard layout did you configure?

I did not configure any special keyboard layout. As far as i know there is only the /etc/conf.d/keymap file. There i have KEYMAP="de".
