I have a MacBook Pro 2.16 with 2gb of ram. Most of the time I connect to the internet via a AirPort Express sometimes I plugin a ethernet cable. I am running Parallels build 1970 and my VM is XP SP2. Is there any way to assign the VM a IP address? The reason for this is I have a program that requires the machine to be using 10.150.7.3. I know I can assign OSX to use that IP but XP has a different IP than OSX.

    Thanks

OSX and the VM have to have different IP addresses, or packets couldn't be directed to one or the other. If you assign that IP to the VM, you have to assign a different one to OSX. No two machines on a network can have the same IP address.

It might be possible to set up a NAT gateway using that address and assign different addresses to OSX and the VM though. The NAT gateway will assign different IP addresses to the two machines so that rule 1 isn't violated.
