May update/upgrade an OS Linux or windows, when installed in my XP as guess

    May in my XP guest all of: win 7 + ubuntu 11.10 + ubuntu server 11.10 + kubuntu 11.10?
    I have two choices to choose from, upon install, about how can access files from/to guess OS, well this choice may changed later or is permanent?
    May update/upgrade an OS(or Apps) Linux or windows, when installed in my XP as guess?
    PARALLELS DESKTOP LICENSE(single) is for two PCs [laptop, desktop]?
