Microsoft Money 99 glitch in Win XP

I have been using MS Money successfully on Win XP VM for some months now but program has suddenly started to freeze when entering new data. Money files are kept on Mac OSX and accessed through Parallels Shared Files. This has worked fine hitherto, but problem has suddenly developed.

I have tried following remedies to no avail:
1. Reinstalling Money
2. Reinstalling Win XP
3. Reinstalling Parallel Tools

I have also established that it is not Money file which is corrupted as it works on other Win XP installations on Parallels Desktop. Also other of my Money files produce same error on my main Win XP VM though they work perfeccly well on other VMs.

My OS is Mac OSX 10.4.8 and I am using Parallels Desktop Build 1940.

Any ideas, please?

Here is one idea.

If you have just recently moved to build 1940, you have to reinstall Parallels Tools, which I assume you have already done. Now you will have to go into your VM control panel and point to the shared folder again. It works best if you browse to the shared folder rather than trying to type the path. Look in your manual for the topic "setting up shared folders" and just follow the steps again.

I have my Quicken backup files in the shared folders, and after the upgrade, the VM couldn't find the shared folders. I went back and set up the shared folders again in the VM control panel, and now it is working as before.

At least it is something to try.

Just to make my previous answer more clear, I am referring to the "Configuration Page" of the Parallels VM. not to the "Windows Control Panel" within the VM.
