I just recently purchased the Microsoft wireless adapter for connecting a xbox one controller, wirelessly, and when I plugged in the adapter windows recognized it and installed the drivers. the problem is I cant get the adapter and the controller to connect. im on windows 10, parallels 11, everything is updated to the most recent versions. im on a mid MacBook pro 2012 on updated el capitan, the xbox one is updated to most recent software. I tried checking for updates on the adapter but it said it was the most recent version.

I don't understand why it wont connect if the drivers are installed. any thoughts?

Please configure USB Device ( wireless adapter ) always be connected to desired Virtual Machine, preform the steps suggested at http://bit.ly/1kCC1lU to Set a Particular External Device to Always Be Used With Windows Virtual Machine & check if the issue still persisting.
 
I tried this and unfortunately it didn't work... I still can't get the controller to bind (connect) with the adapter.

Any other suggestions?
 
Hi, it looks like an issue with El Capitan 10.11.2 and Parallels Desktop. We are working on the fix.
 
Try to disconnect the WiFi USB and connect it again. The Virtual Machine should catch it in this case.
 
Do you mean try connecting and disconnecting the adapotor from the USB port? I'm fairly certain that the virtual machine recognizes the adapotor cuz I can go into the preferences in parallels and it will see it. I can go into the settings and Windows and it says it's there. I've tried contacting Microsoft but they think it's a problem on parallels side.

By all means it seems like they should bind together but they won't. It's weird. Although I'm not entirely sure how the binding process works on the technical side. I understand it on the user side. (Push the button on the adaptor then push it on the controller. The lights blink but they don't connect)
 
This problem is still the same! The adapter is recognized correctly by Windows 10 but it is not possible to pair the controller with the adapter. On a "real" Windows 10 it is possible. As soon as the pairing has been done in a "real" Windows 10 the controller will work on the virtual Windows 10 as well. But the pairing is not working within the virtual Windows 10.
So it seems to be a Parallels issue. Please provide a fix for this problem, thank you!
