I think this issue starts with Qt (so it may be harder to implement), but I have a multi-button mouse, and I would really like the middle button enabled. Using cad applications (which work surprisingly well in PD) which rely on middle mouse buttons, is much harder to do without a middle click.
If there is some keyboard shortcut that I'm unaware of, please let me know.
