what I cannot find out: how to issue a middle mouse click using a MacBook trackpad.
Thankfully, Apple has accepted that we need a right mouse button.
But in some programs, notably the Bash shell windows in Linux, I need a middle mouse button too. For instance, to paste selected text.
How can I do a middle click?

Yes I know I could use an external USB three-button-mouse, but I don't want to. I am a strict trackpad user...
