Migrate from BootCamp on another computer to Parallels on this one?

I've got a BootCamp setup on my iMac. Everything's there. Can Transporter migrate that setup to a Parallels VM on my MacBook? I'm replacing the iMac and do not want to use BootCamp any more.

Is there some easier way to do this that I'm not thinking of?

Or would it be better to start from scratch, reinstall all software, and just move the documents?

It's not officially supported, although some people have found that Transporter works.

An alternative is using SuperDuper and the setting the image to be a .hdd. I don't have the thread bookmarked, but it is floating around if you use the search.
