Migrate installed app out of an XP system in DMG

My problem:

Dead pc (ram); xp system from hd in DMG rescued. Now I need an app out of this system in my vm. Only copying the c:\progam files\<apppath> doesn't work because registration data is lost, I think it's stored in the system reg.

Is there any way to migrate the complete application into my vm with all the data? Or is there any way to convert the DMG into a format that parallels can use as bootable system?

If you are trying to make a vm out of your xp DMG, you convert it to an .iso file.
