Migrating a PC with Windows 98

    I want to have a VM of an old Windows 98 PC, so I connected the hard drive to my Macbook and created an dmg of the Hard-drive.
    Is there a way to convert the mirrored Hard-drive to a Windows 98 VM .hdd file?
    If this is not possible, do you have other suggestions for me, how I could achieve having this old PC as VM?
