paralles 2.5 3036
win xp vm
512 ram allocated to vm
2 Gb ram, mac book pro core 2 duo, 10.4.8 all recent updates
first, i understand the known issues with running some dos based games under parallels. despite these limits, build 1970 did work with this game ( i had occasional video refresh issues).
once i upgraded to 3036, i lost mouse support in the game. i've tried downgrading and re-installing parallel tools, but have had no luck, even re-installing the game.
i'm currently back at 3036 and hoping for some help. are any parallels users currently able to run harpoon3 anw using 3036? can i provide testing support for parallels development to get back my mouse functionality with this game.
i realize that the potential audience / number of users is small compared to other apps. i'm awaiting matrix game's release of a newer version, 3.7.x that may help the situation as well.
i believe the 3.7.0 version still uses the allegro (sp?) windows libraries and that newer builds may not. i may be mistaken there.
all suggestions are welcome,
george

virtual pc users had / have similar issues with vpc. there is an option to disable apple mouse tracking or somesuch. perhaps this will trigger a thought with the parallels dev team.
