Modem Support

Hi,

Just purchased parallels for windows and linux. I'm running it on ubuntu with windows xp as a vm in parallels. Will my soft modem work in windows xp running as a guest?

Yes, but you have to configure it as a serial port.

File menu, "Edit Configuration...", click "Add...", "Next >", select "Serial Port" & click "Next >", select "Use a physical serial port", "Next >", enter the physical location of the modem(eg. /dev/modem), select "Connect Serial Port at startup", click "Finish".
