I'm trying to read the CPU temperature under Windows 10 in a Parallels VM and cannot do it.
When I run Windows 10 in Boot Camp, I can read the temperature fine.
I've tried Coretemp 1.17.1 and Openhardwaremonitor version 0.9.6, and again, it works fine in Bootcamp but not in a Parallels VM session.
I'm running Windows 10 Pro Version 21H2 with Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.3920.0
I'm running Parallels Desktop 17.1.1 with macOS Monterey version 12.1 on a MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017) with 16 GB of RAM.
I've searched the knowledge base and the forums, and nothing jumped out as a solution. Is it as simple as Parallels Desktop disabled connectivity to the CPU temperature sensors and thereby forcing me to use Parallels Toolbox for Windows?
All thoughts / rants / ideas / RTFM referenences are welcome.
