Please can someone help a total noob here?
I installed BootCamp way before I was aware of Parallels, and used my XP install CD to create the windows OS. Then I discovered Parallels, and was unaware that it could run XP from BootCamp - so I installed XP again. This involved begging Microsoft for a new activation code.
Then I discovered that it's foolish (if not impossible) to try and control 2 XP installations, and tried to get Parallels to boot using BootCamp. I got the attached message. I figured that it's maybe because I had two XPs installed - so I deleted the "non-BootCamp" one.
But I STILL get the attached message.
I'm verrrrry reluctant to delete the BootCamp partition and start all over, cos not only have I spent weeks loading all my graphics apps on it, but also there's a good chance that Microsoft will refuse to give me a new activation code.
I've looked thru the forum, and see that you can edit the PVS file - but please please please can someone take me through what I should do, how I find the correct name for the "correct" partition, etc etc - bearing in mind that I'm about as technical as a baby newt!
Hope you can help....
