mouse doesn't work in coherence

hi, i'm using parallels 3.0 build 5158 candidate 2 on a new iMac.

every time i open parallels, it runs in coherence mode, even when i've closed in single window mode. which would be fine, except the mouse doesn't work. the only want to get it to work is to switch out of coherence mode, then, in the parallels tools center within windows, uncheck the mouse synchronisation, apply, then recheck it. i've tried reinstalling the tools, to no effect.

not using the latest parallels build as had other problems with that.
 
Uhh... Why are you using a release candidate? If you are concerned about stability, do NOT use a RC, use a general release, such as 4560. Or just try out 5160. Just make sure you un-install Parallels tools and the RC before installing 5160. Once you get onto a general release let us know if that solves your problem.
 
i just got the file i was told by a friend to download. but when i go to downloads, it only offers me build 5160 to download, which caused similar problems when i first got it, hence downgrading a little - where can i find 4560?
