mouse will not release between host and client?

What is unique to this concern is that this is the 2nd time I have migrated an exsisting Win XP sp3 box to my Mac OSX and this has happened. I have tried reinstalling Parallel Tools several times and it appears that the software is installed and running as expected.

Any fresh install of WinXP has no issue with the mouse traveling across the client to the host w/o having to release it.

Suggestions for a resolution on a migrated machine?

EDIT: I should add this concern is within WINDOW mode. It seems fine in COHERENCE when you pass between the MAC OS desktop and the MS XP programs.

OK, figured this one out. If your old system had the mouse pointer setup to "show tail" then this features doesn't allow the mouse to release between client and host. Simply turning off the mouse trail solved the need.
