Hi All,
I am running Parallels 4.0 on my MacBook. I have Windows XP loaded on the VM
The main reason i have Paralells is so that i can run Outlook 2007 with it's full exchange support on my Mac.
I almost always use Parallels in coherence mode, unless i need to work on the actual windows operating system.
I have expose enabled on my computer and the upper left is "show desktop
I get a lot of attachments in Outlook. If i was running a true mac app, i would drag the attachment from the email to the upper left hand corner of the screen ("). I would then just drop the attachment on the desktop.
With parallels, i can't seem to get this to work. If i am holding an attachment with the mouse, expose doesn't seem to work. I push the cursor to the upper left hand corner, but their is no reaction. I need to save the file to the mac desktop in order to move it there.
I also tried option clicking the file in outlook and clicking copy. I can then paste to the desktop in windows, but not to the desktop on the Mac.
Also, I can't seem to drag and drop from the vm to a mac program. - Example
- I put the vm into window view.
- I try and drag a file from the pc desktop to skype running on the mac in order to send it to someone via skype.
- Doesn't work. Skype doesn't even register that i am trying to drop something into it.
If i take the same exact file from my mac desktop i can drag and drop easily into Skype.
Is there any way to get these two features to work with Paralells?
Hope my questions are clear.
Thank you,
Alex
