Moving image from internal to external HD

How do I move an image from the internal to an external HD? I moved it but when I start up Parallels, I get the 'setup a new VM' dialog; Parallels acts as if the image that I had doesn't exist anymore. I had already changed the path in the image, too!
 
It doesn't work? Hmm... I just dragged the HD over to the external and then navigated to it through the interface. Works like a charm for me. Double check your path, and make sure that the external is connected.

What do you mean "navigated to it through the interface"? Yes, the external is indeed connected. I have the directory open when I am trying this, just to be sure.
