HELP! (if possible I need an answer today)
I set up a new mac for "john smith" and made a WinXP VM... all was good.
Except then the user migrated his old Mac to new Mac and as a result all his stuff is under a different users "johnsmith" (no space). AND he can't see the VM I made for him before.
Rather than have to re-do his VM from scratch, a lot of work and potentially some licensing snags... I'd rather just make the VM accessible to "johnsmith".
Can I simply do a Finder copy/move the VM to "johnsmith" folders?
Or do I need to use the Clone function?
And are there any downsides of doing this type of move?
Is there an easier/better way I should be approaching this?
Thanks in advance!
