MS Money won't connect to internet, Firefox will

Hi,

I have an issue which is vexing. I can connect perfectly fine to the Internet running Firefox, but when I try to log in to my MS Money program, it tells me I need to be connected to the internet to use the Passport feature.

I also am having troubles downloading updates. For instance, when I ran the update for Acrobat, I got the same error- "not connected to the internet".

I'm running Parallels Build 1970 on a MacBook. Windows XP. Money 2008.

Any ideas as to how to solve this?
