multiple cursors in VM using Apple Remote Desktop

I'm running Parallels Workstation release candidate on an Intel Mac Mini with all the lastest software updates, including firmware 1.1 and the SMC firmware update. ARD client is a PowerBook G4 (aluminum 15"). However, ARD is version 2.2 on both machines.

When I created a VM in which to run Fedora Core Linux, as soon as I start up the GUI installation process I find that I have two cursors inside the VM window. The trackpad more or less moves them in the same direction, but at different speeds. I have to experiment to see which one I can click buttons with.

Anybody else seen this? I didn't find mention of it in any of the other threads.

I'm seeing the same behaviour with Windows.

When you use Parallels over Apple Remote Desktop it doesn't seem to catch the mouse correctly... Would love for this to work though... I have a MacIntel Mini in my living room that I'd love to use to run Windows on through ARD on my G5 workstation to do some Windows testing...
 
Same problem here

I too am running into the problem with multiple cursors in various VMs. I am on an Intel iMac and have an extra display/ I thought at first it was related to a KVM I was using with the extra display but even after removing it from the equation, I still see multiple cursors, tracking at different speeds, that appear in various linux build VM and Windows. I would love to know a fix - and know it is not just me as I have seen this with other forum members. I even tried to quit all the extra apps running to see if I could eliminate the conflict to no avail. Anyone have a work around or fix for this issue?

BTW-all updates have been done and I have even tried with the latest Parallels beta build to see if that fixes the problem and it does not...

Any help would be greatly appreciated for my sanity sake...

I also have the same issue. It happens a lot and can be extremely frustrating. I have experienced it under Novell SUSE 10 and Ubuntu 6.06. A fix would be nice.
 
I dunno what fixed it but here is what I did and it did go away:

I admit I do have a lot of third party apps running so I wanted to turn off the stuff that got in the way.
I disabled all my startup items under system preferences-> accounts-> login items.

Then when I restarted I had a different issue that I wanted to fix so I went into the home directory ->library-> preferences and threw out com.apple.systempreferences. (This is what I strong suggest).

Lastly, I ran main menu (can be found at http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17111 - their website is down atm) and did the following tasks: Repair Disk Permissions, Run All Cron Scripts, Update Prebindings, Clean User Cache.

Afterwards the problem disappeared. By the way the double cursor problem I had appeared in every virtual machine I had-Linux, or Windows.

Hope this helps. Soory I cant be more specific but I got so frustrated, I did all 3 things at once and am not sure what fixed it.
