My Mouse

I recently installed parallels tools updates. Ever since, my mouse does not freely move in and out of the parallels program. I must manually release it. this is not very time efficient, however, i do not know how to fix. I tried restarting and it doesn't help. Can someone help me?

Also, after my last restart, i can no longer get the virtual machine to shut down. I am at a total loss.

what host OS
and which guest OS?

which mouse ?

I use USB MS Comfort Optical Mouse with no problems
