Nag screen won't go away

Some time ago Parallels stared displaying a spam screen urging me to buy the latest version every time I launch my virtual machine. I click the "Do Not Show Again" button every time, but this has no effect. How do I get this nagware screen to go away?

Hello,

Please try uninstalling and reinstalling Parallels Desktop using the link given below:

http://download.parallels.com/deskto...844.408728.dmg

Also note that while uninstalling Parallels Desktop you need to check the Application settings option.
