Hi - I have a windows 7 computer that I would like to turn into a VM to use on my mac with Parallels. I have the most recent version of Parallels, but I am having trouble creating the VM. Can I just place the SATA hard drive with my windows 7 installation in my mac and create a VM from it? From what I have read in the Parallels instructions, this does not really seem possible, though it would be great if it was. If this is not possible, how do I convert my licensed windows 7 hard drive into a useable VM on Parallels. Thanks for any help. Andrew
Hi Andrew, Placing your PC hard drive to Mac to create a VM will not be possible. The detailed instructions on how to migrate your Windows PC to Parallels Desktop VM can be found at http://kb.parallels.com/115007
