Need help for lost files

Dear members,

I came across this issue of disappeared files shared between Mac and win10 in parallels. I had ~300 files stacked on Mac desktop, which bursted out everywhere in windows. So I created a folder in windows and cut&paste them into the new folder, but meanwhile I decided to uncheck the folder-sharing in parallels setting. The file relocation process was interrupted and the files disappeared from both systems. may I ask if the files are gone forever? if so why and if not how to retrieve them? Thanks in advance.

Hi Maria, thanks for the reply. no I did not. After I uncheck the sharing, the copy&paste process was interrupted and Parallels rebooted the vm. Then even if I check the sharing again, the files wouldn't show up. On my Mac desktop, there's a folder with similar size to the total size of those files, but the number of files doesn't match.
