Need help, no sound

Hello,

I'm using Parallels Desktop for Mac, build 3188 (latest version) and i've been able to run windows xp off my boot camp drive without too much of a problem. However the sound never works on windows, and when i check the sounds and audio devices under the control panel, it says no audio device detected, but parallels says its activated.

I'm running an intel based iMac, 24inch.

Had anyone else encountered this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have you installed the parallels tools?

yep, everything else works fine except the sound :S

I am not a boot camp user and sound is no problem

parallels >> Menu >> devices >> sound >> mute???

the sound under the devices has "activated" checked, thats correct right :O?
