Need help restoring version 1970

I was rolling right along with 1970 when I got the itch and installed 3150. The whole operation went downhill from there.

I experienced frequent lockups, terrible slowness and after about a week of this, I decided to try to go back to 1970.

I'm not exactly sure the order in which I uninstalled and reinstalled, but it certainly isn't right. Windows in 1970 is still acting buggy and slow, albeit better than 3150.

- What procedure should I follow to make sure that 3150 and 1970 are completely removed from my system. I've tried the examples in the forum, but I'm not convinced that everything is gone. Besides the Applications folder, are Application files installed elsewhere that an inproper removal of 3150 may have missed?

- Should I create a new VM from scratch, or can I utilize the current one. I don't want to be calling Microsoft and explaining to India why I need yet another license exception if I don't need to.


I loved this software at first, but now I'm back to looking for a PC notebook because it's grown so frustrating.

in 3150, uninstall parallels tools. Shut down the VM. run the Uninstall package that comes in the 3150 DMG file. once completed, make sure you delete /Library/Parallels (not the one with your VMs in). Reboot the mac,

install 1970, install your licence key, run your vm, install 1970 tools.
 
Thanks. Those are the directions that I've seen before, but I think what I did was run the uninstall program for 1970 instead of 3150 by accident. 3150 is gone, and it's uninstaller doesn't do anything.

If I now uninstall 1970, delete Library/Parallels, reboot, reinstall will I be clean? It's almost like some lingering component of 3150 is hanging around in 1970. I didn't think that Mac apps were supposed to be installed like that.
