Nero 7.7.5.1update hangs

The Nero 7.7.5.1 update hangs when I try to install it in a Windows 2000 guest OS. Has anyone had success with that update?

Nero 7.5.0.2 was installed from a boxed CD a couple of months.. I downloaded the update. The update uninstalls the original 7.5.0.2, restarts, asks if I want the ASK search bar, then asks me to accept the license agreement and proceed ... but pressing Next does nothing.

I have no evidence as to whether this is a Nero, Windows 2000 or Parallels bug.
 
I'm doing a fresh install of Nero 7.7.5.1 and it dies during the installation process in Win XP sp1, parallels build 3186.

I've been trying to slipstream an sp2 for bootcamp, but its been an incredible PITA and I've had little luck so far :(
