I've reported this before but cannot find a solution.
If my VM is not actively using the internet, after only a few minutes (less than 5) the internet access is lost. I can fix this by resetting the adapter or troubleshooting, but it is extremely frustrating.
I was previously using "Shared Network". I habe now changed to "Bridged" but it makes no difference to the problem. I can see my VM has been correctly assigned an IP on the same subnet as the host Mac:
And in my router configuration I see this device now listed as a separate connected device:
Nothing else is using this IP address since 192.168.2.xxx is the private wired subnet for my home office.
Why does the adapter keep "falling asleep"? How can I stop this?
