    Hi All,
I've been having an issue with Windows XP Professional SP2 where when parallels is running using the default adapter setting it will over utilize my network bandwidth and I'll be transmitting 5.2MB/sec over our 1Gbit network.

The fix I've found is that if I switch to shared networking the network bandwidth goes down to normal threshold levels.

I'm using a Mac running 10.4 (currently 10.4.9 but the issue has appeared since I was running 10.4.8) Parallels build 3188 (though I had the issue on previous versions as well). I'm monitoring my bandwidth using menumeters.

Obviously I've fixed the issue for myself and I'm just trying to alert other users in case your network appears to be running slowly. I'm semi willing to try other OSes in an effort to find out if the problem lies within parallels or my Windows XP install so if you have suggestions I'm willing to listen.
