Network Connection - Won't Connect Unless Disconnected and Reconnected from Parallels

I have two users who have just recently been experiencing a problem with version 6 build 12094 and 12106. Windows starts fine but will not grab an IP address until the ethernet adapter has been disconnected and reconnected from the Parallels configuration while the machine has already been booted up. I have tried uninstalling-rebooting-reinstalling Parallels, also while removing Application Settings when uninstalling. I have also tried using the "diagnose" network connection feature in windows, but that does not work. Even disabling and re-enabling the network adapter in Windows does not work. I have enough IP addresses to give out on my network through the DHCP server. Can anyone help? One of these users is on Leopard while the other on Lion.
