Network ... how to?

I have parallels running on a new macbook pro with intel core 2 duo.

When I'm at work I use a static ip address connected via ethernet. I then take my computer home and use wireless to connect to the net without any restrictions.

How do I set this up? On the mac side or windows?

I need the static ip address at work because it allows me to ftp .. etc.
