Network share madness

I'm wondering if this is a bug or a "feature".

I'm on Parallels 2 (build 3214)

Say I have a network drive mounted in OS X. If I try to mount any other network share in parallels I lose the network share I had mounted in OS X.

Is this by design or something else that was fixed in an upgrade?
 
try and distinguish between mounting a drive
which only one OS may do at a time

and sharing many or all of your drives by mounting them in Mac OS - and then designating them as shared folders by the Parallels Devices menu

Basically use PD Tools to manage Windows
do not use the Windows utilities directly in this context

Obviously the latest build is best BTW
