    Hey all.

I work in sports television and a device I use... [IMG]
(that's not me, that's some other wanker)

    ...runs on Windows XP.

As a user, I can hook my laptop up to this device with a CAT5 cable and upload show elements. The hitch is that my Parallels Windows XP must have the IP of 192.168.0.20 for the software on my laptop to talk to the software on the control room device.

What is the best way to achieve this?

    Thanks,
    Brad

Buy a wireless router and connect it to the device and use your computer's airport interface to communicate with it.

This and, can't you put that IP address down manually somewhere in Windows network?

Hahahaha. I read that whole thread and the solution (all the way at the end of page two) was so simple compared to what thoughtfix was trying to solve the problem.

    Hahahahaha.
