Networking config in LAN

i'm having issues getting mulitple XP Pro VMs working on my new iMacs. Here is the deal. I have a Mac image with Parallels 3.x running XP Pro. My goal is to have a unique IP for each VM and Mac OS.

I tried "bridged" networking and end up with all XP VMs pulling the same dynamic IP address but have correct gateway and DNS adresses.

I tried "shared" networking and end up with a good IP but have incorrect gateway and DNS server addresses.

Any ideas on how to resolve this? Please let me know if my information is incomplete.

LAN settings:
IP range: 10.0.0.1-10.0.3.254
gateway: 10.0.0.166
dns: 10.0.3.1
subnet: 255.255.252.0
 
Additional details:
1. Mac OS Version (Leopard 10.5.4)
2. Parallels Build # (5608)
3. What kind of computer (20" iMac)
4. Total Physical RAM (2gig)
5. Hard Drives (1 - 200gig +)
6. If you are using a BootCamp configuration or not (NO)
7. Did you upgrade from a BETA (NO)
8. With what Build did the problem start (have only used this one build)
9. If Parallels Tools are installed (YES)

it looks that you are using either build 5600, or upgrade to 5608 was failed.
please reinstall Parallels Desktop as described in kb

only have run build 5608

build 5608 is the only build that i downloaded and have installed. i just started this project in the last couple of weeks.
 
Ok, in Shared Network, NAT is involved so you will see something like 10.211.x.x this is correct, check can you access Internet while in Shared Network
 
IP address in "shared mode"

I understand that NAT is being used to generate a 10.211.x.x address when I'm in shared networking mode. My issue is that I would then have to change my network settings to include those addresses b/c I have a different subnet. Am I thinking about this correctly? When I try to "view" these machines on the network (I'm using Altiris) any address outside of my standard range is not seen.

yes, in this case you need Bridged Ethernet ,
The key here, "all XP VMs pulling the same dynamic IP address but have correct gateway and DNS adresses"
Make sure Mac addresses are different
