Networking on two VMs

I've setup two separate VMs running Windows XP Pro SP2.

Each VM is connected via network adapter en1: Airport/Wireless adapter.
Each VM has a different static IP address.
Each VM has not firewall configured.
Each VM can access the Internet.

Unfortunately, I cannot get the two VMs to ping one another.

Do you know how I could correct the problem?

Are both VMs configured for bridged networking?
