Sounds like we are in the same boat.I
've been trying for a couple of months to get Windows in Parallels to recognize my BB (esp. for use as a tethered modem). I have found a blog that says it can be done: see http://www.alexking.org/blog/2006/08/07/tether-blackberry-modem-parallels/
but the solution doesn't work for me. (MacBook + Verizon 7130). Thus far, the usb port recognizes the BB, and the device manager does as well (and indicates that it is "working properly", but neither the BB Desktop Manager or Verizon Access software will recognize it.
Oh well, maybe next time
