Installed yesterday, ubuntu. How can I change the username? Right now it's "parallels". I added a new user on the command line, but I don't see a way to logout / login back in.... How do I spin up an X server? I have XQuarts installed on my mac. When I run xemacs, it complains that it can't connect to the X server. Thanks!
Open a terminal window (you can use Ctrl + Alt + T). Log in as the root user or a user with sudo privileges using the su command or sudo. Use the usermod command to change the username:
