No boot device available - 10.5, bootcamp, 5160

Wiped my Macbook Pro with 10.5 and started installing WinXP SP2 on a 32 gig bootcamp partition. After multiple attempts after the initial (CD/DVD copy) install I receive:

"No boot device available, press Enter to continue."

Here's my details:
Model Name: MacBook Pro 17"
Model Identifier: MacBookPro1,2
Processor Name: Intel Core Duo
Processor Speed: 2.16 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 2 MB
Memory: 2 GB

Again, 32 gig bootcamp partition on OS X 10.5 with Parallels 5160.

It's been 3 days of frustration. I've borrowed install disks from friends (in case my attempts to slipstream my SP2 ISO was flawed), but that didn't work. I'm sure there is some step I'm missing; and scavenging the boards hasn't turned up anything new.

Please help!

If you get the same error while trying to boot via Boot Camp, this seems to be Boot Camp issue. Now that Boot Camp is officially part of Mac OS X, Apple includes the latest version of their Boot Camp Windows Drivers on the Leopard DVD itself. So if you're using Boot Camp, you should reboot in Windows right after installing Leopard, reinsert your Leopard DVD, and let the installer run to update your Apple drivers to the latest version.

If this is not the trick, try Repairing Windows installation.

After another attempt and a trip to the "Genius Bar" at my local Apple store I discovered the issue. "Quick Format" will not do the job when installing. I don't know why (I assumed it still wrote out the MBR table) but doing a full format made the difference. Rah.
