No Internet or Network in Ethernet, but do in Airport

I have full access in my Windows XP environment when I switch from the Mac OS to XP and have Airport running. However, when i turn off Airport, and connect via ethernet, it works on the Mac OS but nothing works on the XP side. Also, I cannot get any printers that are connected via ethernet to show up on the XP side.

Any help!

Under network device status in the VM console window, select default adapter and it will use whichever one is active (ethernet or airport).

In my case, when I changed my ethernet virtual MAC address to match my Mac Pro's actual ethernet card MAC address, the internet started working. Changing the maximum packet size to Jumbo as someone else suggested, also helped.
