Every since I have started using the Beta 1862 build my networking (only in the vm) sometimes quits on me after I wake my MacBook Pro up from sleep. I try restarting the vm (WinXP Pro) and also restarting Parallels but nothing works until I restart my actual laptop. Networking will be working fine inside OS X, but when I go to start the vm it hangs during Windows bootup at "Preparing Network Connections" and then eventually goes to the login screen. Once I login though I am not getting any network activity (in the vm). Has anyone else had this problem with the new Beta? It doesn't happen everytime I wake the laptop, but it has happened about 5 times so far. I never had any problems with previous versions of Parallels. I know its beta and I'm not complaining or anything, just curious if anyone else is having the same problem. Thanks!

Yes, I believe that would describe the issues I'm having as well, except sometimes if I keep trying, it comes back. Just this morning it happened, but I Disconnected Networking, //s CRASHED, but when I relaunched, it worked fine.

Similar problem here on my Macbook - networking will occasionally die after sleep. For me it's happened on both Win2k and XP, and using both Bridged Ethernet and Host-Only networking modes. Seems to happen randomly - sometimes it'll pick up a network connection just fine after sleep, other times nothing short of waiting a bit and restarting Parallels can get networking to do anything. I'm using the beta version as well - did this happen with the last official release?

So i went into XP and turned off all sleep/saver settings. I have had no problems since

Yes, that is the exact same thing that is happening to me. I would say it is like 1 out of 5 times the network doesn't come back properly.
I never had this happen with any version prior to this beta (1862) and I have been using this daily since about April.
Again I realize this is a beta, but I would just be curious to know if it is a known bug or not. That way it doesn't happen when the final version comes out. Feedback from the Parallels team would be great!! ::hint:: ::hint::

That really is a great suggestion but 2 things. First this has never happened before this beta build (1862). Second if it was Windows going to sleep causing this problem you would think once I completely restart Windows and Parallels it would fix the problem but it doesn't. I have to completely restart my physical laptop. So something is getting messed up within OS X. Again though great suggestion. I'll try it (never know) and post back my results.

I see no sleep settings in my XP vm... :/ I went under CONTROL PANEL --> POWER. Both the monitor and hard disks were already set to never turn off. Hibernation was not enabled. I didn't find anything for sleep though. Maybe this is because Parallels doesn't support ACPI yet? Just a guess. What settings exactly did you change? Thanks!

I agree, it should work, due to may laptop users that need to go quick.
