no P8 199% scaling in windows 7 rdp client

All of my windows applications look sharp and properly scaled on my mbp retina using P8 with full resolution and optimize windows except the windows remote desktop client. This does not scale up to enlarge the fonts or icons. If you turn full resolution off, it works as before, but I really like the look of apps like word and excel (Who would have thought a VM app would optimize Office for the retina display before Microsoft...) and don't want to turn off the full resolution every time I need to access one of the many servers I use via rdp. Is there a better work around or fix in the works?
 
Remote Desktop in PD8 on Retina

Remote Desktop is rendering so small it is unusable, even if I drag the window to one of my non-retina monitors. Any suggestions besides turning retina support off?

I have the same issue , also one of the main inconveniences is not being able to set RDP sessions in full screen in coherence , it sometimes happen by luck but persistently i can't set RDP to full screen which is weird because full screen seems to work with most of the other programs !!
 
Wow, thanks for finding this. So glad it works. I hope they don't "fix it" by making it DPI aware and basically making things too small again.
