No Sound on Mac Side; Sound in Windows

I have lost all the sound on the Mac side of my computer whether the Parallels virtual XP machine is running or not. It is all browsers, quicktime, videos etc. Any suggestions as to how to fix would be greatly appreciated!
 
No Sound- What I'm running

I have an iMac running Leopard 10.5.8
Parallels desktop 4.0 Build 4.0.3846
Windows XP on the virtual machine

Get sound on IE, wmv files, quicktime in Windows on parallels but not on Mac firefox, safari, quicktime or even applications (nothing!)
