No sound Win2K, RC2 and Final Release

I've never had audio on my MacBook Pro. I started with the early betas and have reinstalled Parallels Tools and rebooted the VM with each beta and RC release. In the device manager, the AC '97 Audio Controller has the exclamation mark icon, and in the device status it says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". I've read lots of posts regarding audio glitches, but it seems to only affect others using Win 9x, not Win 2000. Any ideas?

    TIA,

    Dave

There are no automatic installation of audio driver in Windows 98. You need to manually update sound driver driver after installing Parallels Tools.

To solve that problem you may referer to help. You need section "Windows 98 Sound Driver Installation" which is located in "Creating virtual machine"-"Installing parallels tools".

Not sure I understand. Since I'm using Windows 2000, are you saying I need to follow the same instructions for Windows 98?

Oops. :) Sorry, it seemed to me that you had talking about Win98.

Can you tell me what service pack was installed for your windows 2000 ?
